We have lots to do this week! We are reviewing key concepts in math (addition and subtraction with regrouping and measurement), reading assessments, and writing assessments. But we are also trying to fit in some last minute holiday fun! Our class party is a breakfast party this Friday at 9:00. On Thursday we are having a pajama day and will watch some holiday videos. Today we worked on our gingerbread houses. We made quite the mess, but it was lots of fun and they look great!

Well, we missed Santa today! Math was a little confusing so we had to spend some extra time practicing. But the good news is that he will be LIVE on the reindeer cam from 5:00-6:00 pm tonight! You can go to reindeercam.com to watch him feed his reindeer and play with his other furry friends. The kids are really excited to share this with you. Happy viewing!!

Although our thoughts keep drifting back to Christmas, we are working hard on subtraction with regrouping. We're using place value mats and counters to help make this concept more concrete, but we're getting there! When we finished math this morning we checked the "Reindeer Cam" and guess what...we saw Santa!!!

Hello 2nd Grade Parents! Thanks for your patience as I go through the learning process when it comes to my classroom blog. I am excited to be able to provide you more information about what is going on in our classroom.
We are working on subtraction with regrouping in math, and comprehension skills in reading. But most importantly, we are really excited about Christmas right now!
